Cheekwood Estate and Gardens in October

The original purpose of my trip to Tennessee last month was to photograph precious baby Rhoades and his sweet family, but Sweet T met Afton and me there to make it into a wonderful girls' trip! We packed a lot of fun stuff into our short visit in Franklin/Nasvhille, and I took so many photos that I am just now getting around to them. First up: a visit to Cheekwood Estate & Gardens.

The weather was perfect for strolling the beautiful grounds. Afton's favorites were berries...

...pumpkins (more of those coming in my next post)...

...and trains! I was surprised how long she stayed mesmerized by the different choo-choos going around the winding tracks.

We all really enjoyed all the scarecrows, artfully created by schools and businesses all around the Nashville community.

And of course, all the beautiful flowers were quite a sight to see! So many colors!

If you're in the Nashville/Franklin area, I highly recommend a visit to Cheekwood. I suspect it's this beautiful any time of year!
