I met Lindsay last year at Kim & Scott's wedding and was excited that she contacted me about doing an engagement session a few weeks ago. (She showed up on the blog as a hair and makeup guru before, so it's fun to put her in the spotlight this time, along with her fiancé Ryan.) Aren't these two the cutest couple?
Lindsay mentioned that she wanted photos with a live oak with Spanish moss, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to explore the Ruskin Oak, a massive live oak nestled at the end of a dead end in downtown Ocean Springs. I didn't even know about this fabulous tree for the first few years of living here, and this was my first time shooting there, but I bet it won't be my last!
This spot and this couple were the perfect combination.
They even agreed to do a little climbing.
Lindsay and Ryan sittin' in a tree...
K-I-S-S-I-N-G! ;)
These two were so much fun to photograph.
They were such naturals that I asked them if they had been practicing at home--ha! :)
Check out her lovely ring--such classic beauty!
I could have stayed under that tree all evening, but to switch things up, we headed to Front Beach.
Their pastel ensembles worked so well against the cloudy sky.
The clouds were diffusing the sunlight so perfectly; it made my job a breeze!
I love the way these two look at each other--so romantic!
I'm glad their Gulf Coast home served as the backdrop for Lindsay and Ryan's engagement photos. They're planning an amazing destination wedding this fall--in Colorado!
Congrats, you two!
