Have you heard of Basic Invite? According my my Instagram story poll, most of you haven’t! And neither had I until they emailed me about partnering together for this blog post (and some even more exciting stuff I’ll tell you about later ;)). Once I clicked over to peruse their website, I was pretty excited about the opportunity to review their product… especially given my immediate need for BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENTS!
I loved the process of designing this lovely birth announcement to send to friends and family! There were many design templates to choose from, so I had plenty of inspiration, but each one was completely customizable. Most impressively, Basic Invite allows you to choose from over 180 colors for every element of your design! I tried out several shades of blue before finding just the right one for the border around Jonas’s photo—I love how it coordinates with his outfit and the blanket! I had fun playing around with various neutral colors for the text, too.
There were all kinds of options for what to put on the back, too! I started out thinking I was going to choose a collage of several different photos from our session with Mbm Photography, but I ended up sticking with my absolute favorite one all on its own.
Basic Invite has several paper types to choose from. I opted for the signature matte paper for these birth announcements, and I was not disappointed! The paper was sturdy, and the colors looked great!
I normally use a beautiful return address stamp (THIS ONE!) when I’m sending cards and notes, but for the purpose of this review, I decided to add on return address printing on the envelope. It looked great and saved me some time, which was super helpful given that addressing envelopes was one of many tasks I needed to complete during baby’s nap time!
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the envelopes were the peel-and-seal kind—no licking!
We have received some wonderful gifts for baby Jonas, so many of our announcements had a thank you note sent right along with them! :)
Thank you so much for these beautiful birth announcements, Basic Invite! My only complaint is that you need to change the name of your business because these are so much better than basic! ;)
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that sometime soon you might need some stationery of your own, and if so, you’re in luck! I’ve partnered with Basic Invite to offer YOU 20% off all their products! Enjoy! :)
