Jonas Nelson Miller arrived on March 18, 2019, weighing in at 7 lbs., 14 oz. and measuring 19.5 inches long. We are so thankful for our healthy baby boy! And for beautiful photos documenting this precious season—the beginning of our family of four! My clients know how much I love photographing at-home sessions; I was happy to have MBM Photography do the same for us!
The lab tech at the hospital told me I’m lucky to be a photographer and not need to hire other people to take “expensive” pictures of my kids. Au contraire! It is important to me that my kids have pictures that include me, and my attempts to create those myself could never compare to these. Beautiful family photos are my most priceless treasures.
I love that my great-grandmother’s painting showed up in the background of these. (And I loved Meghan’s idea of using Afton’s wooden rocking horse, a special gift from Sweet T and Granddaddy.)
It was fun to explore the light in different parts of our house.
Including the nursery, of course. (More nursery photos coming later!)
My favorite photos are the ones with this antique bassinet, another family heirloom, where Jonas has been sleeping every night—very well, I might add!
There have certainly been challenges with adjusting to life as a family of four (and I’m sure there will be many more), but these photos are such a perfect reminder of the beauty and blessing in the midst of the chaos. They will help tell the story of our legacy of love for generations to come. If that’s not worth paying for, I don’t know what is. :)
P.S. I’m starting to fill my post-maternity-leave calendar, so if you are interested in your own family portrait session, now is a great time to let me know! :)
