Dottie Grace. Isn't that the cutest name ever?! That's what I thought when I first heard about this lovely young lady who would be working the church nursery during our Wednesday night small group meetings this year. She definitely lives up to her name, but Dottie Grace is so much more than cute--she's ultra-responsible, super smart, and so, so sweet. I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her senior portraits!
She's planning a career as a pharmacist and is proud to be a soon-to-be Mississippi State Bulldog!
Dottie Grace just moved to Ocean Springs last year, but her family roots run deep in this town, and she visited often as she was growing up. I love that she wanted to commemorate her affection for iconic Ocean Springs institutions like Lovelace Drugs and Tatonut.
Speaking of deep roots, Dottie Grace's family has quite a legacy at First Presbyterian Church of Ocean Springs, and it was important to her that it be the setting for some of her portraits. And that made me happy--our church happens to be my favorite place to shoot! :)
Of course we couldn't forget the beach! Dottie had told me ahead of time that she planned to wear this adorable romper, but it was even more fabulous than I imagined, especially blowing in the wind! Doesn't she look beautiful?!
It was such a joy hanging out with Dottie Grace (and her mom!) during this session. I feel honored to share in this exciting time in their life and can't wait to see how the next chapter unfolds. I know it's going to be awesome. Congratulations, Dottie Grace!
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face to shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”
