As promised, I'm back with the rest of our October adventures! Toward the end of the month, my mom (Sweet T) came to visit! She hung out with Afton for a couple of days while Alex and I were at work, and we had a super fun Saturday all together! We took a little drive out of town to Middleton Farms to visit the pumpkin patch! We had not been before and really enjoyed our visit!
They had all kinds of games and activities set up. When Afton is older, this will be even more fun!
The pretty little gourds were my favorite.
It was neat to see the big pumpkins growing in the patch, too.
Of course, this little punkin was the cutest of all. ;)
She took a liking to this tiny wagon.
There were lots of pretty flowers blooming!
We visited the petting zoo...
...and took a hayride! :)
Thanks for a fun fall day, Middleton Farms!
Actually, that was just the first half of our day. Since we were already almost to the Alabama state line, we (Alex) decided to take Sweet T to the lovely town of Fairhope. I was starving in the backseat, so I silently consulted TripAdvisor and started Google Mapping us toward a top-rated restaurant before anyone else even mentioned food--ha! Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina was a winner. Check out the view from our table on the patio by the harbor!
Afton was skeptical, apparently, but the food really was good.
My favorite part was this pineapple mojito. It was so tasty!
As was the key lime custard we had for dessert.
We headed into town to burn off a few calories with a walk. So many beautiful sights to see along the waterfront!
Afton was happy to escape from the stroller for a bit!
Our time in Fairhope ended with a beautiful sunset. We stopped to sit on a bench and watch. :)
Thanks for visiting us, Sweet T! We'll see you in Kentucky soon! (Go Cats!)
