It's another Uninvented Colors first: baptism photography! When I met with Sofia over the summer, she explained the importance of this event to her family. Isabella's relatives were coming from all over the country for the occasion, which would take place at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.
I arrived about the same time as this sweet little girl and her family and captured some candid shots of them coming into church. Don't you love her little lace bonnet? So lovely!
It was refreshing to experience a different kind of worship than I'm used to. Protestant as I may be, I must say I truly experienced the spirit of Advent during mass.
Isabella and her parents and godparents looked so happy to participate in this sacramental ceremony.
Isabella was anointed...
...then baptized!
She was officially welcomed into the family of faith with this gorgeous stole and the lighting of a candle. Such a joyful moment!
There were so many people there to celebrate with her! There are way too many family photos for me to share them all, so I'm just going to leave you with these sweet kisses for abuelo. :)
This beautiful little girl is so loved, and I am so glad she'll always have these photos to remind her of that. :)
