First full day in Portugal! After our evening in Loulé, we spent just one night at Ria Park. We had midday train tickets to our next destination, which left the morning for soaking in just a bit more of this peaceful spot. After breakfast, we ventured out to explore the beautiful landscape right by the hotel.

The Algarve is the southernmost region of Portugal (and we aren’t leaving this region yet), but I had failed to know the term “Vale Do Lobo” at all until I saw this sign—oops! Turns out it’s the name of this resort area with lots of golf courses and luxurious homes & hotels. It appeared that this part of Vale Do Lobo was fairly new and still being developed—there was quite of bit of construction going on along our route toward the water.

But there were lovely sights to see nonetheless!

It was perfect weather for walking along this incredible boardwalk along the seashore!

These adorable umbrellas were my favorite.

Such a gorgeous beach! And again, very few people around! (This won’t be the case for the rest of the trip even though it’s definitely not peak tourist season.)

And guess what—I did it again! This morning’s photos became another lovely set of nine square prints. :)

Stayed tuned to find out where we go next!
