A Day in Bay St. Louis

I’m finally circling back around to that fun day in September that I said I’d tell you about weeks ago!

We were planning on lunch at The Starfish Café (always a favorite) but found that it was closed, so we checked out a new (to us) spot called The Buttercup and were not disappointed. :)

Old Town BSL really is “a place apart” as they say. Such a peaceful place for a leisurely stroll!

We browsed some antiques…

Of course no trip to Bay St. Louis is complete without a stop at Smith & Lens…

But I was most excited about visiting Ruth’s Roots! I had been seeing fun photos of this quirky spot on social media but had not checked it out in person yet. This community garden/art space is my kind of place: jam-packed with nature, color, and good vibes.

Dragon sculpture, hopscotch, murals, herb garden, rabbits… you just never know what you’ll find next!

Of course I was partial to the butterfly garden.

Some members of the Miller family get restless and bored more quickly than others, but I could have stayed here all day! Looking forward to another visit. :)
